Itanagar, 12: With traditional attire women folk of Self
Help Group (SHG) federation of Mechuka stolen the heart of visitor’s with their
traditional local food cuisine at their food stall during recently concluded
adventure@ Mechuka festival. Specially, local handmade pickle was the limelight
in the food stall where everyone enjoyed and appreciated the initiative. Beside
this, SHG members also earn little income through photo shoot in wearing traditional
attire which they have provided to visitors.
It would be worth to mentioned that Future Generations
Arunachal (FGA) with its initiative trying to promote the SHGs for their livable
future in many location through capacity building training and support.
Moreover, in health sector, FGA managing two units of Primary Health Centers
(PHCs) of Government of Arunachal Pradesh under Public Private Partnership
(PPP) mode of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM)since 2006.
