SHG follow up and Evaluation at DPTE

One day SHG follow up, motivation and evaluation was conducted at Donyi Polo Tea Estate (DPTE) on 21 September 2019 by the FGA Staffs. It is to be mentioned here that Self Help Groups (SHGs) at tea estate is the initiative of DPTE authority in an objective to empower the tea workers besides tea works. At the beginning,  the company has provided financial support to all 13 SHGs under microfinance program in 2016 which is still revolving among them.


Capacity building training at Yomcha

Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) in collaboration with local administration organized one day training on Capacity Building and empowerment of rural women at Yomcha on September 19, 2019.

Midum Self Help Group,Bomjir village under Dambuk Division organized Social Service and Renovation work on 17th September 2019. The SHG is going to open a Shop to sale traditional products woven by the group members.

State level Annual PPP review meeting

National Health Mission, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh organized its Annual Public Private Partnership (PPP) meeting on August 28, 2019 at Dorjee Khandu Memorial Convention Hall, Itanagar. PPP partners who are engaged in management of Primary Health Centers participated and presented the Annual status report of the PHC under PPP program. The meeting was chaired by Ms Juhi Mukherjee, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh as Chief Guest, all District Medical Officers, NHM regional Director, Guwahati and Nodal Officers from State NHM part.

Besides PPP partners, other stakeholders associated with medical and health program also attended and presented their report.

Everyone appreciated the NGO's who are managing the PHC's and appeal the partners to improve in certain areas for better results.

Workshop on Community Radio

Three day workshop on Role of Community Radio in Youth and Community Development was concluded here on 21st August 2019. The program was organized by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Chandigarh in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar.


Participants from different field areas enthusiastically participated in the program.The resource person from RGNIYD thoroughly explained the participants about the importance of Community Radio in Youth and Community development in the region. He also explained about the process of setting up of Community Radio Station.

IDCF program


 Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) activities and demonstration on perfect hand washing techniques was observed by Sille PHC in presence of school children on 01July 2019. Live demonstration on hand  washing was given to school children in respective school by the medical expert staffs. IDCF is a national programme under Government of India which is implemented for prevention and control of deaths due to dehydration from diarrhoea. To minimize the issues, hygiene and sanitation topics discussed and shared in the children.



Mosquito control and PNC awareness organized


8/6/2019: Mosquito control awareness program organized at PHC Sille catchment area in order to create mass awareness on breeding ground of mosquitoes. In such, medical staffs cleaned chocked water drain, removing unattended used vehicle tyres, clearing non bio degradable garbage,keeping of domestic animals away from huan being etc. Later medical staffs told the villagers to use mosquito net whie sleeping and allow to spray DDT in their house to avoid Dengue Malaria dieases.

28/6/2019”: Post Natal Care (PNC) delivered on 28 June 2019 to the mothers at PHC Sille why it is important for mother’s to takecare herself and the child after delivery to keep themselves free from illnesses. PNC  period roughly a month in which it includes basic care of newborns, proper breastfeeding, keeping the baby warm, following healthy hygiene and sanitation measures and when required visit health centers was shared during the day long programme.

World Tobacco Day observed at PHC Sille


Primary Health Center (PHC) Sille is being run by FGA observed World Tobacco Day in a befitting manner along with the rest of the world through school children participants on 31 May 2019 by organizing rally with support from Government Hr Secondary School Sille to generate mass awareness among the public to quit tobacco products today and leads healthy long life. Information Education and Communication (IEC) is necessary way to tell and teach the people.
