Training-cum Awareness at Parbuk

Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) organized two days skill development training-cum awareness program at Parbuk, Roing on 14 & 15 September 2018. The training program was fully sponsored by local area MLA Smti. Gum Tayeng, 42nd Dambuk A/C under MLA-LAD fund (Local Area Development). The program was successfully organized under the supervision of FGA's Executive Director Mr. Atul Tayeng. The main target group was to enhanced the skills of the area Self Help Groups (SHGs) and the rural farmers. As many as 150 plus participants turned out to participate in the two days training program.

Line Resource persons from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Roing, Organic expert from Dite Tea Estate, Lingka-Ruksin, Medical officer, Parbuk and the staffs of FGA shared the experience and knowledge with the participants. Practical demonstration on vermi-compost making technique including organic pesticides making was shared Mr. K. Moyong. KVK shared on mushroom cultivation, integrated fish farming and kitchen gardening to boost rural economy for the farmers.



Earlier in the inaugural speech by MLA madam, She encourages the participants to take full advantages of the training to build the capacity and the skills so that rural farmers could carry out income generation activities in the area. In her speech, she added that supporting MLALAD fund for the particulars item will not cover the whole community. Therefore She channelized the MLALAD fund through Skill Development program so that each and everyone should get benefited for lasting change, social-economic  development in the area.

Sri. Starson Saring, Ex-ZPM of the area as guest of honor highlighted the opportunity of the training program and encourages the participants to use the opportunity. In his speech, he thanked the MLA madam for supporting the training program in his area and the organizer.

Sensitization workshop

Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) in collaboration with Ngunu Ziro, organized one day sensitization workshop on Home-stay management to the participants of Dambuk Circle at Siiro viilage on 16th June 2018. 10 participants (5 couples) enthusiastically participated in the program. Pura Tama, Chairman, Ngunu Ziro- a ziro based local organization welcome the participants. Resource person, Koj Mama tour operator briefly highlighted on tourism potential and the benefits.




Later, Dr. Kanno, Member  shared the main objective of management of home-stay and how it was started in Ziro. He hope that participants understand the difference between hotel and home-stay and why not to use the hoarding board and how the community of the area be benefited. He also shared some important points while managing a home-stay.

SDP at Paglam circle

Dambuk: Future Generations Arunachal organized 2 days Skill Development Program (SDP) at Paglam Circle under Dambuk administration in June 12 & 13, 2018. Local area HMLA Smti. Gum Tayeng inaugurated the SDP. In her notes, She exhorted the participants who to use the maximum opportunities provided by the organizers to enhanced knowledge and skills to live a better lives. Resource persons from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Roing shared their knowledge with the participants on Fish farming, Mushroom cultivation, Animal husbandry. They appeal the participants to visit the KVK farm to gain the practical knowledge on management issues.




Dr. D. Pait from Sille PHC share on waterborne diseases seeing the timing and the place which is surrounded by water from all corners. Anyone to who visits Paglam circle need to cross the water using engine boat. He advises the participants to be careful while using water as 70-80 percent of diseases is caused by water. He shared the video with the participants how water become host to carry the germs and bacteria. He also aware the participants on substance abuse.

On 2nd day, Kaling Moyong from DPTE, Oyan highlighted the participants on vermi-compost preparation method and organic kitchen gardening, how to make organic pesticides using the available natural resources the people had. The participants enthusiastically listening to him.

Ms. Anyak Mize endorse the women to come forward to see the change. The society will not be develop if the women are not empower. The women should understand the roles. Empowering the communities means women's role should be there then only the family, the society will develop.

Mone Gurung, highlighted on Self Help Groups (SHGs) and suggested the participants to form SHG at their village in order to get more specific skill based training's and awareness in coming days.

As much as 370 plus participants participated in the program.

FGA conducted PMT

Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) organized a meeting of its Project Management Team (PMT) in 5th May 2018 at Primary Health Center (PHC), Sille. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Omak Apang, Chairperson, FGA Board. He also moderated the meeting.



The main agenda of the PMT meeting was to discuss the ongoing project activities initiated by FGA and to formulate a strategy to re-energize the project and to develop a mechanism to scaling-up the projects through Future Generations approach using SEED-SCALE concept.

In the PMT it was also decided to use the skills and knowledge gained by the Master's graduate from the Arunachal Pradesh who completed their degree from FG University.

The meeting was participated by Mr. Atul Tayeng, Executive Director, FGA, Dr. Tage Kanno, PPP Consultant, Mr. Manjit Bali, Director, FGI, Medical Officers from PHC Sille, PHC and FGA Staffs.
