Five days Training-cum exposure visit to
Self Help Group (SHG) federation of Palin Circle organized by Future
Generations Arunachal (FGA) concluded at Itanagar on 25th Feb, last.
They were visited at Government run Dairy and Poultry farm in Nirjuli ,
Multi-Disciplinary Training Center (MDTC), Midpu and also visited mushroom
production center of Horticulture department at Rajbhawan area and interact
with the officer in charge.
The main objective of the exposure program was to motivate
them that they can also make a difference at village level by doing some sort
of income generation activities for their livelihood. It attempt to bring about
a social and economic transformation of the members by common effort and mutual
help. The program also taught them how to work united under SHG federation.
Altogether 15 members participated in the program. Mr.
Byabang Rocket, Chairperson, FGA lead the team. It is worth to mention here
that Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) is working with rural communities to
bring equitable and sustainable development since 1997.
