SHG members trained...

As many as 11 women participants from Palin, Yazali and Yachuli Self Help Group (SHG) members participated in 05 days Pickle making training at Bosco integrated Training Center, Tigdo village in Yupia from 23^rd to 27^th April last.

The main proposed of providing training is to build up the capacity and integrated skills in pickle making, organic kitchen gardening and poultry raising so that through skills and knowledge, the SHG member can utilize the locally available seasonal fruits and vegetable into making and preserving home based handmade pickles which could turn into spinning of income for them with quality assurance. They were also trained on preparing bakery items in the center. Concluding the program, orientation session was conducted at FGA’s Training and Demonstration Center (TDC) in Banderdewa where participants were briefed on Organic kitchen gardening, poultry farming and bamboo craft.

 

The trained participants are reluctant to practice what they learnt will apply at home first then will share the learning experience and demonstration to their SHG members.

The training program was supported by Future Generations Arunachal (FGA), a non-profit, non-governmental organization working towards community development since 1997.

SHG members trained on paddy...

Five Self Help Group (SHG) members from Mechuka circle trained on paddy cultivation technique at Ziro organized by Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) from 7- 10 march last. The main purpose of imparting training to women SHG members is to self evaluation for effective decision-making and system for communities to adapt, learn and expand themselves in the field of agri-allied sector.

After learning lesson from Ziro, the enthusiastic SHG participants will apply the rice cultivation technique to their own Mechuka area where land, water and climatic condition is favorable. They are planning to work out in SHG land and then to individual land.

It would be mention here that Future Generations Arunachal (FGA), a Community based-civil society has provided the same kind of training in earlier of which fruitful outcome has been seen in the Mechuka valley. Besides, Community development program FGA is engaged in managing of Primary Health Center in two districts of Arunachal Pradesh.

The four days orientation training was supervised by Kago Yam of Siiro village, Ziro.

Four (4) Self Help Group members from Ziro and two FGA staffs underwent week long training  on Food Processing focusing on Pickle making from April 15-21, 2014 at Bosco Integrated Development Center (BIDC), Tigdo/Yupia. The training is focused to empowering the SHG members by building the capacities in order to shaping the future.

The training program was arranged by Future Generations Arunachal (FGA).

SHG members trained on pickle making

Seven women Self Help Group (SHG) members of Future Generations Arunachal underwent a week-long training on food processing with a focus on pickle making at Bosco Integrated Development Center (BIDC), Tigdo/Yupia from March 22 to 28. It is pertaining to mention here that BIDC is a sister concern organization of AIDA under Don Bosco Society.

The main purpose of the training was to educate the SHG members how to utilize the locally available raw resources and how one can earn profit from them. They were trained, especially on making pickle from bamboo shoot, which has high demand in every household.

All the trainees enthusiastically participated in the program which was arranged by Future Generations Arunachal (FGA).

SHG Master ToT concludes..

Itanagar 20, 2014: Future Generations Arunachal (FGA) organized master Training of Trainers (ToT) program for Self Help Groups (SHG) federation of FGA from January 12-19, 2014. The training mainly focused to build the master cadre in an aim to expand the skills and knowledge on proper management of SHGs to its associated members at the grassroots’ level.

As a part of program, the Self help Group members visited Bosco Integrated Development Center (BIDC), Yupia, Multidisciplinary training center, Midpu and Rural Resource and Training Center (RRTC), Umran, Meghalaya to gain extensive knowledge in entrepreneurship, piggery and poultry farming. As many as 14 participants from 6 districts participated in the program which was concluded here on January 19, last. The whole program was lead by Rubu Ampi and Takhe Meena.
