FGA encourages local people on Organic farm practices




Future Generations Arunachal organized 2 days training cum field demonstration on organic farming at Dambuk and Bizari on 7th and 8th January 2016. Resource person from Navdanya, a network for organic farming and biodiversity conservation, Sri D S Negi, National coordinator and Sri Kaling Moyong an organic tea practitioner imparted the training and filed demonstration on pest repellent, manure and seed preparation. The field demonstration was conducted at both agriculture garden and orange orchard and altogether more than 90 person comprising PRI, SHG members and farmers attended the training.  Progressive farmer and Orange growers Sri Makpak Perme and Sri Atek Linngi coordinated the training.




The training is aimed at encouraging the local people and the farmers to adopt and practice organic method in cultivation and to discourage the use of harmful chemical pesticide and fertilizers to protect ecology, maintain the bio diversity and to save the degradation of soil and human health. The training organized by the FGA in partnership with Navdanya and the local populace will continue for promoting the area a part of greater organic region. Work plan are being prepared by SHG members for furthering the Organic movement in the area. The program was equally supported by Atul Tayeng, ED, FGA.
